Scientists believe that big marine mammals like whales and dolphins have very evolved brains, much like those of humans. These types of species of mammals are able to converse, follow instructions, and intelligently figure things out. Mammals also have good memories and are able to learn new things. They have larger, well developed brains than other animals. This means that mammals can discover to survive in new places. Another characteristic found in mammals is in their particular teeth. The teeth are replaced just once during an individual life, which is known as diphyodonty.
